After starting his career in banking in Bryan, Frank Tirey moved to Midland to assume the position of Vice President overseeing the loan department of a local bank. Frank managed a large commercial lending portfolio which included a variety of real estate holdings. In 1984, Frank decided to pursue his entrepreneurial passion and formed Advance Abstract & Title spanning the covering a large swath of West Texas including Midland County, Winkler County, Loving County, Martin County, Reagan County, Reeves County and Upton County. In 1999, Frank sold his Midland County and Winkler County title plants and business to Stewart Title Midland. Frank remained with Stewart Title Midland as President until 2018. Being an entrepreneur, Frank continued his business ventures in addition to his role as President of Stewart Title Midland and purchased what is now known as Western Abstract and Title Company. 

Western Abstract and Title Company serves Reeves County, Culberson County, and Loving County and now serves Midland County in conjunction with moving its main office to Midland in 2020. Our team is led by Manager/Escrow Officer Michelle Gandy. We are knowledgeable in serving not only your real estate needs, but are also well-versed in the oil and gas industry and its unique tie to West Texas real estate.
